We’re welcoming our community once again.
The Berkshire Museum began a phased reopening of our downtown Pittsfield location on August 1, 2020.
Your health and safety are our primary concern. We intend to meet or exceed all state-mandated health and safety guidelines through each reopening phase. Guests are welcomed back to the museum with a series of new health and safety protocols in place including new and improved cleaning procedures, time-based advance ticketing that reserves each exhibition for one “family unit” – a group that has been quarantining together – at a time, mandatory face coverings, social distancing between visitors and staff, and more.
Museum hours: Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm; Sunday noon to 5 pm. The museum will be closed from 1 to 2 pm daily for cleaning, 2 to 2:30 Sundays.
90-minute reserved visits include the museum’s first floor and lower level, including the Aquarium, Berkshire Backyard, Rocks and Minerals, Animals of the World in Miniature, and the Feigenbaum Hall of Innovation. Timed tickets are required.
Temporary modifications will be made to many exhibitions to reduce the number of touch points and promote visitor health and safety.
Tickets: $5 adult; free for Berkshire Museum members, EBT cardholders, and children under 18.
Reopening plans are subject to change in keeping with any modifications to state or local guidelines.
