Free Community Nights at the Berkshire Museum

The Berkshire Museum is proud to present four Free Community Night events each year, sponsored by Greylock Federal Credit Union.

1. Free Community Play Night

Each year we celebrate the start of Ten Days of Play with an evening of exciting, child-directed play for everyone! Families are invited to explore the Museum’s exhibitions and try all of the Ten Days of Play activities free of charge. This annual event falls on the Friday before February vacation week. See our calendar for details.

2. Free Community Science Night

Get ready to get messy! This free evening of fun and creative science experiences is a family favorite. Past years have featured giant bubble sculptures, mega baking-soda-and-vinegar volcanoes, and an oversize egg drop. Our annual Science Night usually takes place on a Friday in early July. See our calendar for details.

3. Free Community Kindergarten Night

Are you ready for kindergarten? Children entering kindergarten and their families are invited to join Museum staff and volunteers for an evening of school-themed fun. Learn what to bring in your backpack, how to tie your shoes, and even take practice rides on a real school bus! This free annual event takes place on a Friday in late summer. See our calendar for details.

4. Free Community Pajama Night

Put on your favorite pajamas and join friends and family for a cozy night of storytelling and reading at the Berkshire Museum! Families are invited to explore the Museum’s galleries, listen and read, and take home a free book at the end of the night (while supplies last). This free annual event usually takes place on a Friday in early November. See our calendar for details.
