Berkshire Museum Membership Extension Program F.A.Q.

Q. When will renovations begin?

A. Renovations of the first-floor galleries will begin on January 6, 2025.

 

Q. How long will renovations last?

A. Our current construction timeline sets the reopening in early 2026.

 

Q. What if I just renewed my membership?

A. All active memberships will be extended for one (1) year. This applies to all memberships expiring in January 2025 and all memberships purchased during renovations.

 

Q. Will the price of memberships change?

A. No. Prices will remain the same, but they will last twice as long to accommodate for the renovation period.

 

Q. Will our digital membership cards show the updated expiration date?

A. Yes. We will process extensions for current members on the month that their membership is set to expire. Your digital card will be updated at that time – before your current expiration date.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Q. Can I receive printed membership cards with the new expiration date?

A. Yes. Printed memberships can be mailed or picked up at the museum upon request.

 

Q. Will this extension apply to gift memberships?

A. Yes. Gift memberships will be extended for one (1) year if they are redeemed prior to the museum’s reopening. During renovations, gift memberships can be redeemed by called (413) 443-7171 ext. 382.

 

Q. Will this affect my NARM and/or ASTC benefits?

A. No.

 

Q. Will I still receive priority registration for summer camps?

A. Yes. Though summer programming will be held off-site in 2025, members will still receive priority registration for this program.

 

Q. My membership lapsed prior to 2024. Will I still get an extra year if I renew?

A. Yes.

 

Q. I enjoy supporting the museum through my membership contribution. How can I continue my support in 2025?

A. Donations to the museum can still be made on our website – www.berkshiremuseum.org/support.
