Galleries 201 – 203 Closed

Galleries 201 to 203, located on the second floor, will be closed from Monday, January 7, through Friday, February 8, as we install our newest exhibition, Leonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion.

Leonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion, which features 40 full-size mechanisms created from the Renaissance drawings of the artist and inventor, will open to the public on Saturday, February 9.

Gallery 204 Closed
Jan 7 – Jan 31 all-day

Gallery 204, located on the second floor, will be closed from Monday, January 7, through Thursday, January 31, as we update our exhibitions.

This space will reopen on Friday, February 1, with Objects and Their Stories: Oral Histories from the NAACP, in which leaders from the local African-American community and the NAACP Berkshire chapter share their stories accompanied by portraits, photography, and selected objects from the Museum’s collection.

Recently released from prison, Beth is working with her public defender to get her son back from her sister, who was awarded legal custody while Beth was incarcerated for 10 years. Soon after, Beth forms an unlikely alliance with Jess, an idealistic young protégé of the public defense team who decides to take on Beth’s cause whether she likes it or not.

Berkshire Museum is proud to present a program for little ones ages 6-18 months and their caregivers.

Come explore the world through your babies’ eyes! Positive verbal and physical interactions are a key element in their healthy growth and development. Together we will read stories, sing songs, learn sign language, and stretch our bodies and minds. There will also be time for caregivers to get to know each other, share stories, and gain information and knowledge from our collective parenting experiences. Play and learn with us every Tuesday.
