Ted Rosenthal Trio: Jazz Meets the Classics

Join Berkshires Jazz for a creative and insightful program that illustrates how many classical themes have been incorporated into popular music and jazz. Ted Rosenthal is an iconic jazz pianist, and has performed worldwide, both as a leader and as a sideman with many jazz greats, including Gerry Mulligan, Art Farmer, Phil Woods, Bob Brookmeyer, and Jon Faddis. He has released 15 CDs as a leader or sideman, including new treatments and “derangements” of great American standards, jazz tunes and classical themes, as well as his original compositions. He is equally at home in classical music and jazz, although he is far better-known for is innovative approach to jazz.
