Berkshire Museum Tom Patti Commission 2

10×10 Real Art Party

Berkshire Museum is partnering with Berkshire Art Association (BAA) and Storefront Artist Project (SAP) to host a “real art” exhibit at Berkshire Museum during February 14 – 20, 2013, with the “real art party” taking place on February 20 at 5:30 p.m., as part of Pittsfield’s 10×10 festival. Money raised for the event will help support programs for Berkshire County art students. Through the collaboration, the 10×10 RAP continues SAP’s efforts to make original art affordable for Berkshire residents.

Here’s the deal — WE NEED YOU to donate framed 10 inch x 10 inch work of art which will be displayed in the Museum throughout the week of February 14 – 20. A preview party will be held at the Museum on Tuesday, February 19 during the Museum’s PechaKucha Night #5, slated to begin at 7 p.m. All contributing artists will receive free admission to attend the PKN. The Real Art Party will be held on Wednesday, February 20, with a preview scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m., and the party to take place from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Guests can buy a $25 ARTIX which will guarantee them an original piece of art. Tickets can be purchased at the Museum, during the preview party on PechaKucha Night, or the night of the 10×10 RAP; or at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts on 28 Renne Ave in Pittsfield. Ticket numbers will be picked at random near the end of the night.
