The Lichens and Mosses of the Berkshires

Join Dr. Scott LaGreca, Berkshire Museum's Natural Science Coordinator, at Bascom Lodge atop Mount Greylock. He?ll explain how surveys of local lichens and mosses help monitor critical environmental issues such as air pollution, invasive species, and global warming. Weather permitting.

Experts from Berkshire Medical Center discuss the diseases that plagued the mummies on view in Wrapped! and explain the medical procedures available to treat them if they were alive today. BMC radiology staff lead a 3-D guided fly-through inside the mummies? bodies using state-of-the-art CT scan technology.

 Our landmark stegosaurus is 13 years old! Celebrate Wally's birthday by creating colorful Wally mobiles in an art-making workshop from 1- 3 p.m. Sing Happy Birthday to Wally at 2 p.m., then enjoy birthday cake and punch. Crafts and refreshments while supplies last.
